Synopsis
The National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI), with other NIH Institutes and Centers (ICs) National Cancer Institute (NCI) and National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), intends to publish a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to solicit applications to facilitate genomic research and the dissemination of its products, NHGRI proposes this RFA to support both new and existing genomic resources of demonstrated broad value to the research community. Awards under this NOFO will support the development, curation, and distribution of high-value genomic resources valuable for both basic and clinical genomics research. Applications are not being solicited at this time. Notice is being provided to allow potential applicants sufficient time to develop meaningful collaborations and responsive projects. This NOFO will utilize the U24 activity code. Investigators with expertise and insights into this area of genomic resource development are encouraged to begin to consider applying for this new NOFO. In addition, collaborative investigations combining expertise in computational genomics and data science and clinical applications of genomics will be encouraged and these investigators should also begin considering applying for this application.
