Description
This combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format at FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation is attached. Solicitation number W913E526QA010 is being issued as a Request For Quotation (RFQ) for Thermistor Strings. This requirement is a total set-aside for small business concerns. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses by reference. The full text of provisions and clauses may be accessed electronically at www.acquisition.gov/faroverhaul. The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL) Terrestrial and Cryospheric Branch (TCSB) in Hanover, NH has a requirement for four (4) thermistor strings for a bore hole project. Product Specifications: The Contractor shall deliver four (4) thermistor strings in accordance with the following specifications: The instruments must have 75 feet of instrumented length and an additional 15 feet on non-instrumented/lead length. The instruments must have a spacing of 1ft from 0 to -15ft and 3ft from -15ft to -75ft The sensors must have an accuracy of ±0.1°C The instruments must have a diameter of no greater than 0.55 inches at the sensor node for ease of installation in boreholes. The instrument must have a bottom temperature range appropriate for winter deployment in Interior Alaska ( down to -67°F) The instrument must include an interface that allows the data to be read by standard data loggers (SDI-12, Modbus). Please reference the attached RFQ W913E526QA010 for instructions and applicable provisions and clauses. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers; 1.) Technical capability to fulfill the Governments requirements in its entirety, and 2.) Total quoted price (including shipping FOB Destination to Fort Wainwright, AK 99703). Award will be made to the responsible offeror whose quote represents the lowest price technically acceptable to the Government, in consideration of all factors.
