6515--Philips Patient Monitoring Upgrade

This announcement serves as the official Brand Name Only Justification for the award of Contract No. 36F79719D0102 / 36C26126F0350 to Glomax for the purchase of Philips Monitors at VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System. This procurement was not set aside on a GSA schedule. In accordance with FAR 6.302-1(c) and RFO 6.103-1, Brand Name Descriptions, the requirement for Philips Monitors was determined to be essential to meet the operational needs of the facility. Market research and technical evaluations concluded that no other products met the specific requirements necessary for compatibility with existing infrastructure and the standardization objectives of the medical system. Therefore, the procurement was conducted on a brand name only basis, and the contract was awarded to Glomax as the authorized Philips supplier. This justification is made in support of VA business objectives and in compliance with applicable federal regulations.
