CHRISTENOT MILL STABILIZATION The Department of Interior, Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Montana State Office is soliciting quotes to stabilize the historic Christenot Mill near Virginia City, Montana under the BLM Dillon Field Office¿s preservation strategy of ¿Arrested Decay,¿ restoring structural integrity while maintaining the site¿s historic character and compliance with SHPO criteria from September 15, 2026, through October 31, 2028. The contractor will be expected to utilize the 2022 Condition Assessment along with photographs and background information to implement stabilization measures to the structure. Labor and construction supplies will be provided by the contractor. The contractor shall source all sand materials approved locations near the site, as these materials best fit the historical nature of the original construction and have been approved for historical preservation construction. The project¿s location is within Chouteau County, Montana. PROCUREMENT OVERVIEW TYPE OF CONTRACT: Construction, Firm Fixed Priced (FFP), Single Award Contract TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION: Building NAICS CODE: 238140, Masonry Contractors MAGNITUDE: Between $25,000 and $100,000 RESTRICTIONS ON CONTACTS: Beginning upon release of the request for quote (RFQ) through contract award, contacting Government employees who may be associated with this work by participating quoter on the subject of this RFQ is inappropriate. Quoters for this RFQ, including subcontractors and teammates, shall not attempt such contacts during this period. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after award. See Section L, Site Visit (Construction) for more information. QUESTIONS DUE: 26 August 2026 at 1:00 pm, Mountain Time. Questions submitted after this date and time will be accepted but may not be answered.
