About this program
The program will provide specialized, trauma-informed, and culturally competent haircare services tailored to the needs of foster and adoptive youth and their caregivers. These services advance permanency and child wellbeing by safeguarding placement stability, preventing placement disruption, supporting family reunification readiness, and facilitating youth development through culturally affirming care — consistent with the core purposes of DCFS.
