Projects must take place outside the United States and its territories.
Applicants can submit only one proposal per applicant/team.
Project Background, Goals, and Objectives:
The United States Embassy in Morocco announces an open competition for past participants (alumni) of U.S. government-funded and U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs to submit applications to the 2026 Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF 2026).
AEIF 2026 supports alumni-led projects that advance U.S. foreign policy objectives, strengthen people-to-people ties, and amplify the long-term impact of U.S. exchange programs. Projects must clearly demonstrate how alumni apply skills and networks gained during their exchange experiences to address shared challenges in their communities.
All AEIF projects must celebrate and promote America’s 250th anniversary and align with policy goals such as making the United States safer, stronger, and more prosperous.
We seek proposals from teams of at least two exchange alumni that meet all eligibility requirements outlined below. Exchange alumni interested in participating should submit completed applications and all required materials to [email protected] by COB Friday April 24, 2026.
Project Audience(s): Applicants must clearly identify the target audience(s) of the proposed project, including demographic information and an estimate of the number of direct and indirect beneficiaries.
Project Goal: AEIF aims to mobilize U.S. exchange alumni expertise, leadership, and cross-sector networks to advance shared U.S.–Morocco priorities while promoting America250 values of innovation and American excellence.
Project Objectives: AEIF 2026 projects must address at least one of the following objectives:
- Convene alumni from different U.S. exchange programs to build or strengthen collaborative alumni networks working on shared priorities.
- Strengthen partnerships between exchange alumni and the U.S. Government to address common challenges and advance policy goals.
- Support alumni leadership development and community-based initiatives with measurable and sustainable impact.
Projects must clearly explain how activities contribute to America’s 250th anniversary and current U.S. policy priorities.
Substantial Involvement
The award may be issued as a grant, fixed-amount award, or cooperative agreement. The final funding mechanism, total award amount, scope of work, and applicable terms and conditions will be determined through pre-award negotiations between the selected applicant and the U.S. Embassy.
