Synopsis

The National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) intends to publish a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for clinical audiologists currently enrolled in Ph.D. programs. NIDCD encourages audiologists with strong research potential to integrate clinical and translational research into their career paths. A strong research foundation is essential for advancing hearing health care and the field of audiology. The NIDCD Research Fellowship for Audiologists program aims to support this effort by providing clinical audiologists with the opportunity to engage in comprehensive and rigorous research training leading to a research doctorate (i.e., Ph.D.) in the biomedical, behavioral, or clinical sciences. Applications are not being solicited at this time. Notice is being provided to allow potential applicants sufficient time to develop meaningful collaborations and responsive projects.
