Synopsis

NASA's Office of STEM Engagement (OSTEM), through the Next Gen STEM Project, invites proposals for the FY 2027 Teams Engaging Affiliated Museums and Informal Institutions (TEAM II) STEM Innovator opportunity. TEAM II supports informal education programs that connect learners to NASA missions and aerospace careers through immersive, mission-connected experiences that build STEM identity, technical skills, career awareness, and problem-solving. Eligible lead applicants are U.S.-based nonprofit Informal Education Institutions, including science museums and centers, planetariums, libraries, and youth-serving organizations. Projects must serve youth in grades 5-8 as the primary audience and may also engage youth in grades 9-12, families, communities, and education partners.

Who can apply

U.S.-based nonprofit Informal Education Institutions (IEIs), including science museums/centers, planetariums, libraries, and other nonprofit youth-serving informal education organizations. A state, local, or federally recognized tribal government agency or higher education institution may lead only if it is also an eligible IEI or submits on behalf of an integrated eligible IEI. A NASA Center may lead only in its capacity as a NASA Visitor Center.
