Synopsis

The purpose of the THCGME Program is to provide maintenance funding to support the training of residents in existing HRSA-supported primary care residency training programs in community-based ambulatory patient care centers. These programs will prepare residents to provide high-quality care, particularly in rural and medically vulnerable communities, and develop competencies to serve a wide range of populations and communities.

Who can apply

Existing HRSA THCGME Program payment recipients must continue to meet the program's eligibility requirements to remain eligible for HRSA THCGME funding. Applicants must be community based, ambulatory patient care center that operates an accredited primary care residency program. They may operate directly or through a graduate medical education (GME) consortium. The residency program must be in one ore more of the following specialties/disciplines:Family Medicine Internal Medicine Pediatrics Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Obstetrics and Gynecology Psychiatry General Dentistry Pediatric Dentistry Geriatrics Program payment recipients that fail to meet any eligibility criteria will not be considered for funding under this announcement.
