Synopsis

The objective of this Project is to enhance the overall safety of the Heart of Georgia main line at three bridge locations to accommodate 286,000-lb carloads and meet FRA Class 2 track standards. This Project will improve the integrity and life span of these bridges. Additionally, the future bridge inspections will be simplified, result in reduction of maintenance costs and will also simplify potential future repairs because of new structural components.
