Synopsis
The purpose of the National RBS Program is to reduce the number of accidents, injuries, and deaths on America’s waterways and to provide a safe enjoyable experience for the boating public. The program also encourages greater nonprofit organization participation and uniformity in boating safety efforts.
Who can apply
- Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education
Applicants must demonstrate the ability to provide RBS services via at least one of the three definitions of national-in-scope. Please see page two of the NOFO for more information.
